At Intero Bodywork, we offer a unique approach to body awareness and postural stability through Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS)—a method grounded in developmental movement and guided by the power of the breath. Our focus isn’t clinical rehab, but rather mindful breath training and movement education that supports your body’s natural ability to stabilize, align, and move with greater ease.

What Is DNS?

DNS is a gentle, research-based system that draws from how babies develop core control and movement patterns in the first year of life. At its core, DNS teaches the nervous system how to better coordinate breath, posture, and movement by reintroducing foundational patterns we’re all born with—but often lose over time due to stress, injury, or modern lifestyle habits.

Rather than correcting or forcing, DNS supports re-patterning—helping you rediscover efficient, natural movement from the inside out.

Why Breath Comes First

Breathing is the foundation of core stability. DNS begins with helping you access a full, balanced breath—not just in your chest, but into your diaphragm, ribs, abdomen, and even your back. When your breath is aligned, your entire body moves differently—more grounded, more supported, more efficient.

From there, we’ll guide you through breath-centered positions and gentle core activation exercises that reflect developmental movement stages (like lying on your back, crawling, or quadruped). You’ll leave feeling more connected, more grounded, and with tools you can take into daily life.

This is not a workout. It’s a re-education—a subtle but powerful return to the intelligence already within your body.
