What does Intero mean anyway?
Interoception
is the root of all feeling, moving, learning, and being.
The textbook answer is that Interoception is the understanding of your body’s internal senses. Things like feeling hungry, thirsty, tired, like your heart is racing, sensing pain and discomfort, knowing when you need to use the bathroom are all examples of internal bodily awareness.

Just as essential though, it is the body's balancing of signals about your physical and emotional states. This includes motor skills, ways of learning, feelings of safety, your perceptions about the world and who you are.

On its deepest level, interoception is the root of all feeling, knowing, moving, and being. None of our other senses make sense without it.

Massage therapy is one of the best methods of developing better interoception. Massage is two-fold: by learning to trust your bodily sensations, and by developing motor skills related to optimal range of motion.
